Swift Fine Foods spend the day with Harris’s SuperValu, Balleborough, Co. Cavan who won the title of ‘Small SuperValu Store of the Year’.
Swift Fine Foods went along on Thursday the 16th of March 2017 to help the staff with setting up their Hot Food Counter. Harris of Bailiebrough is now stocking our Food to go products and our Chefs Cuisine meals.
Eammon Walsh founder and Director of Swift fine foods took the reins and showed Lorraine the Owner, Mary and the staff in the Deli how they can effectively use our products and deliver lunches which are the same standard and class as award winning restaurants
Mr Walsh has extensive experience as a restaurateur and hospitality catering. Eammon Walsh now runs and oversees all the catering for Bord Bia at the trade shows both here in Ireland and Internationally.

The British Frozen Food Federation was established to promote & protect the frozen food sector and is made up of members from wholesale, retail, import & export and a wide range of producers.
It facilitates exchanges among participants in this market and initiates promotional campaigns aimed at the public.
The frozen food sector’s potential is huge : “The frozen food market in Great Britain today totals £8 billion 8.5 billion €) and is growing at a 6.3% annual rate ”, BFFF Chairman Brian Young said, quoting recent figures from TNS Worldpanel (Quick Frozen Foods International, October 2016).

We had the great pleasure of supplying and serving over 1,000 lunches to all participants and volunteers for the “cycle against suicide” lunch stop at St Fanahan’s College in Mitchlestown Co Cork. We would like to thank to all the volunteers for their help on the day and would like to congratulate the staff and students of the college for organising a brilliant event!

Swift Fine Foods went racing with Musgraves Northern Ireland at this years Race Day in Lisburn’s Maze Race Coarse. As always the event was widely supported by Musgraves Supervalu, Centra and Mace retailers. As a key sponsor, we were delighted to give something back following the fantastic support the Musgraves retailers have given us this year. To top it all, the lads picked the winner of the last race, so a great day was had by all.
We would like to wish James all the best for his journey which starts on the 31st of August. What James is attempting is simply incredible, cycle 2158km in 132 hours and all for a great cause.

We received brilliant news this week with the announcement that our Roast Turkey and Ham meal and also our Bacon and Cabbage meal received a 1 star great taste award from the Guild of Fine Food.

A Co Monaghan food company, Swift Fine Foods, is creating ten jobs thanks to a new €1m deal with Tesco.
First listed by Tesco Ireland in October 2012 under its Chef Cuisine branding, Swift Fine Foods now has 20 ready handmade meal products stocked in 100 Tesco stores across Ireland.
Swift Fine Foods was previously part of the 2012 Tesco/Bord Bia Supplier Development Programme and the ongoing link-up with Tesco supports a total of 100 jobs at the company based in Castleblaney.
Owner Robert McElwaine said: “A big focus for us from the start has been ensuring that the quality credentials of our food were clear to potential customers.
“We knew we had a quality product that could fill a gap in the retail market. We also knew that certain quality credentials had to be met. Tesco has recognised the level of quality in our offering, and building on our selection to participate in the 2012 Tesco/Bord Bia Supplier Development Programme, our partnership with Tesco has strengthened from there.”
